Hardware and storage
Use an NVIDIA CUDA-capable GPU that meets the memory requirement published by the exact checkpoint or workflow you select. Reserve fast local storage for checkpoints, temporary frames and final videos.
- Check VRAM before choosing 720p or 1080p.
- Keep at least one clean driver version and a known-good ComfyUI backup.
- Do not infer a guaranteed render speed from another GPU or provider benchmark.
Environment setup
Create an isolated Python environment, install the versions listed by the model package, then launch one minimal workflow. Capture the console output and package lockfile so a later update is reversible.
- Install CUDA/PyTorch versions required by the package.
- Download model files only from the publisher or a documented mirror.
- Run a 5-second 480p or 720p smoke test before larger renders.
When local is the wrong first step
If you do not have compatible CUDA hardware, use the hosted LTX-2.3 studio to validate prompts and shot ideas first. That separates creative iteration from infrastructure debugging.
